Higher Vision Internship

Higher Vision Internship

Why

It is estimated that 88% of all high school graduates fall away from their faith within the first year of college. Questioning professors, doubting co-workers, and discouraged peers can quickly lead to a confused heart and mind. A year at HVi will provide students with important biblical essentials that will help them to maneuver through the many challenges they will surely face during their lives. The first year is an introductory year that is open to anyone who would like to go deeper in their walk with Christ before venturing out into the world. The second and third years are for students who feel called to do ministry vocationally. Here at HVi, it is our heart to raise up, equip, and license future pastors and leaders.

Gap Year

Gap Year Advantage: It could be said that taking a year off from the education scene or work force might cause students and workers alike to fall behind. On the contrary, we believe that HVi will provide it's participants with the skills and disciplines needed to give them a distinct advantage in whatever area they choose to pursue.

William R. Fitzsimmons, Dean of Admissions at Harvard University, explains in his article entitled, Time Out, or Burn Out for the Next Generation, that in today's world, children are so pushed to succeed that they often burn out after their year of college. Due to this widespread epidemic of early burn out, Harvard University along with many other prestigious colleges, encourages admitted students to defer enrollment for one year and engage in what is know as the "gap year."

HVi is a great program for students who opt to partake in the "gap year." The first year of HVi will allow students to experience both life lessons and practical teachings which will benefit them in whatever season of life they embark upon. More importantly, this internship will lay a thorough foundation in the Word of God and as a result will allow for growth and expansion of the students' future Godly living for years to come.
